Create a Film Contract

Set the terms of a cinema contract for a film's run.

The Create Film Contract screen captures the commercial terms under which a cinema plays a film.

Before you start

  • Set up the film, cinema and any Contract Taxes first. Access: Admin, Distributor.

How to create a film contract

  1. Open Films → Cinema Contracts → Create.
  2. Choose the Film, Cinema, Contract Type and Film Format.
  3. Set the Play Period, Start Date and Days of the Week.
  4. Enter the Distributor Fee / Distributor Percentage and Currency.
  5. Attach the Movie Contract Tax / Tax ID and Contact Person.
  6. Save the contract.

Contract fields

| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Film / Cinema | The title and the cinema it plays at |
| Contract Type | Terms model for the deal |
| Play Period / Start Date | When the run begins and how long |
| Distributor Fee / Percentage | The distributor's cut |
| Movie Contract Tax | Tax definition applied |
